IMO its just silly.

Why pour money into making a car look fast if it doesnt actually go fast?

Yeah lol most chavs do it

Your money would be much better spent on say, a supercharger.
Most of the body modifications I see are just silly.

Im starting to get into the tuning/modding scene myself. I drive a 98 civic ex(the import tuner king). And its been a journey so far. Me and my f riend(drives a 97 acura integra) Have been doing little things ourselves. I Just bought a new intake and im about to get newer 17" wheels, a wing, and decals. I used to not like modded cars cause you see some really ugly $#!t sometimes, but it has improved and I find i like it much better nowadays.
I have a Mustang with the Cervinis Stalker kit on it. It looked good till i messed up the front bumper. I purchased this one off fiberglass replacement. I am going to get it installed in early August, while i'm out of town.

I'll post a pick once it's done.

Back on topic. Modding can be cool if done correctly, but it is all based on your taste. There will always be someone who doesn't like a particular style.

I like to go to car shows and she the fresh ideas people put into there cars. I still prefer performance mods to body mods. but both can be very entertaining.
albusa
i love those bmw´s

Modding cars has been done since the begining of cars and it will never stop. It seems with beter technology it is becoming easyer to do mods that were only do-able by profecionals. Body kits for example because of injection molding of urathane. Back in the day could you imagine bending metal and filing with fiber glass. It is alot easyer to buy your kit , have it painted and fasten it on. I perfer to keep the exterior stock and mod tle engine and interior. I like SPEED and POWER Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

What really makes me laugh is people putting wings on Front wheel drive cars (like civics).

Iv also seen several other cars around that have made me laugh.
The other day I saw some early '90s jap econo-box that was painted primer grey, had steel wheels (3 of them had hub-caps), some stupid coffee-can exhaust and an aluminum wing that was about a foot too narrow.

I saw another one a few days later, this one was completely stock (but very dirty) and had its wing mirrors and cowl painted bright blue, the rest of the car still had its origonal (white) paint and there was another one of those silly coffee-can exhausts.

Even if a big-bore exhaust does make some slight improvement in peformance, its cancelled out by the weight of all the stupid wings, paint, stereos and ground effectsthat have been added by some idiot who thinks they look good.

actually... to a point i can agree...

however... some people are not concerned about speed... for example, myself.. im not concerened with it...

i have modded my car, because i like the style of it... it isn't over-done... just looks smart and not boy-racerish...
