Hello All

I have been facing some big problems and tried to tackle with them myself but to no avail. Now my last hope is you guys

I hav purchased a domain from www.bravenet.com and i have pointed the nameservers to Frihost.
As soon as i did that, i only see an INDEX page on my site www.proudpaki.com

After pointing the namerserver to Frihost, i also went to my Cpanel and made some settings in Parking the Domain

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sad

Guys common pls help .. I just want www.proudpaki.com to be redirected to www.proudpaki.frihost.net/php/ - through the nameservers
i know its possible but i just cant figure it out

OK..if I understood you correctly, you want visitors going to proudpaki.com landing on proudpaki.com/php

you can do it in many ways,
one of them is adding this directive to your public_html/.htaccess
Code:
Redirect 301 / http://www.proudpaki.com/php/index.php


or put this as index.html on your public_html root (I'm not sure about this, I'm not really a pro at html)

my only problem is the Index page which comes when u go to www.proudpaki.com

This happens when i put the Frihost nameservers ..
I want it to go to www.proudpaki.frihost.net/php

the code in .htaccess is also not working ..

that is probably because of something wrong with your .htaccess redirects (of the public_html/php folder)

try this and you'll see http://www.proudpaki.com/php/index.php
or http://www.proudpaki.com/php

(which should be working since you have your domain "parked", ie., proudpaki.com is exact same as proudpaki.frihost.net)

here's what you should do.
clean up (or delete) the .htaccess at public_html/php.

add the redirect code -

Redirect 301 / http://www.proudpaki.com/php/index.php

OR
Code:
Redirect 301 / http://www.proudpaki.frihost.net/php/index.php

to the .htaccess in your public_html root (not the one in the php folder)

OR
put this as index.html on your public_html root

I thought the .htaccess command for redirect was

Bondings
First of all, you needed to make an addon domain on "php". Secondly, the .htaccess only redirected it back, causing an eternal redirection.

I changed the addon domain and commented the code in the .htaccess file. Your beautiful website can now be reached! Very Happy
