Hi,
Do you know some good boot/recovery CD for PC problems solving?

I have some of them:

Hiren's boot CD (i think the best)
Based on DOS with easy menu and many usefull tools.

Ultimate boot CD
You can boot mini Windows from CD and use many tools on CD to repair your windows instalation.

System Rescue CD
Based on Linux. You can access all linux, FAT and NTFS partitions.

Tic-Tacs
If I used one of these CD's after my computer has crashed, would it boot up in MS-DOS? I've used MS-DOS to repair a computer before but I'm not very good at it. Would you have to use your own commands or do they have their own tools to fix your computer?

I think any OS on a live CD can come handy in emergency situations. (So far I know only about several Linux distros.) Knoppix saved my situation once...
And if your system is damaged beyond repair, you can at least save your data.

Mine too. I suppose it's little known, but if you know how, you can use knoppix to bypass all file permissions in any linux distro. (So you can access root-only files when you forget the root password, as I did.)
My favourite, however is the ultimate boot CD (open-source version).
It contains several bootable linux distros, a bootable virus scanner, and myriad utilities for diagnostics and repair.

The very best, though, is Microscope. It's quite expensive (around $200), but it is bootable, and provides the BEST hardware diagnostics ever.
For example, I used it to diagnose a PC I was working on, and not only did it find that the hard drive was bad, It told me head 16 on the hard drive had crashed. It's very precise.
