Any experience with XGL?

I merged XGL but I didn't have a luck.
My ATI-DRIVERS work properly with X11R7.0 and xorg-server 1.0 but with XGL I have many problems and I haven't hardware acceleration Sad

Have anybody play with XGL Wink

I am a linux novice. I installed ubuntu dapper drake about a week back and installed XGL. It looks pretty cool. Especially the way in which it changes between two virtual desktops.
