i just uploaded files as before. But today when i upload some files in the public_html folder, it said "upload Failed: Not a directory"..........

that sounds very wierd...did you try again...might just have been "randomness" 
i tried many many times, at home and in the office. But it's the same results... i can see my previous uploaded files are still there. But i can't upload any new files now......... so crazy....

try uploading through www.web2ftp.com
or use a ftp client like filezilla

What are you trying to upload?
What size is the file you are trying to upload?
What control panel are you using (Directadmin or cPanel)?
I recommend using a proper FTP program if you are uploading big files. A good FTP program to use is FileZilla

most probably your connection restricts big files...
nonono, i thought the same in the beginning, so i tried to upload a small picture with only 20kb. But it's failed too...
I bet you mightve deleted one of the files neccasary for upploading, if you think so, try contacting a adminastrator or, maybe a moderator. if that doesnt work, you may hafta download your files at one of the sites the guys before me suggested.
how fast is filezilla? i still use the built in ftp on dreamweaver but it aint very quick
