Computer error messages

Hopefully I'm not posting this in the wrong place...

Anyhow, what's the worst/strangest/funniest computer error you have ever seen/gotten before?

I remember one time, on a windows computer, just for kicks, I decided to run a command prompt and I typed "deltree C:\windows /y" or something like that.... Anyhow, when I saw what was happening I hit ctrl+c. Afterwards, the computer began behaving a little strangely. For one thing, the desktop mysteriously disappeared. Whenever I clicked it, I got an error that said "C:\WINDOWS\Desktop is not a valid directory" or something like that. Anyhow, eventually I rebooted and naturally, windows would not start. I had to reformat, lol. Serves me right though.

How about this one though? "Error loading error message." Has anyone else here ever seen that one? How screwed up does a computer have to be to display that one? Just curious.... curious about everything as always.

There is a cult status Error 404:Weapons of Mass Destruction Cannot be Located website out there. Whenever the subject of cool error messages gets discussed, this one should always be remembered with nuff respect.

There are sites out there collecting this kind of error messages. I can't remember where are they though, I ran into them accidentally.
My favourite was the following: (When deleting a file!)
"Not enough disk space to complete operation. Please delete some files and try it again."

I'm not sure if this is true (and i doubt it is) but a guy i know on another forum has this in his sig:
Windows 98 wrote:

Windows cannot detect keyboard. Please press enter to continue

Personally, I always thought it ludicrous that whenever Windoze would crash, it would restart with a message saying (paraphrasing), "To avoid seeing this message in the future, please shut down Windows properly." I was always tempted to dig around with a binary editor to change the message to say, "To avoid seeing this message in the future, please switch to Linux."

Likewise, back before the machines were designed to power off on shutdown, I wanted to change the message, "It is now safe to turn off your computer" to "It is NOT safe to turn off your computer." Laughing

Error! Windows has detected that you are a government agent. Your system will now crash.

I got that from a friend as a prank. It turns out they have software out there to change the error messages to something totally bizzarre, which is annoying if you want to know what's seriously wrong with your computer.

The best one I ever got was "Error! You have Caps lock on. Please replace your keyboard with a Microsoft-compliant model." That one took me by surprise, I didn't have a keyboard in at the time.

i remember once i changed the "start" menu to say "stop"
it was funny but then my mom got REALLY confused!!

also remember "FORMAT C: /y" is 100% compression the best out there!!
"the only problem is you cant decompress it" Laughing
