I remember the time when I was waiting a table on quite a big guy, probably about 6 foot 5, two inches taller than me with a bald head and a set of leathers on.
It was my first day, quite anxious to get started and get going and everything was going well and then when carrying a chicken enchilada to him, I burnt my finger on the plate and threw it all over him.
He wasn't happy, but at least it was on leather and easy to clean!!
And the pay is cack is most places, although I was on £4.75/hr which is roughly under $10/hr

I have been waiting tables a little under 6 months now. The pay isn't horrible and with a good crew is a pretty easy job. I work at both a seafood and steakhouse owned by the same man in the same town. The best thing about my work is that there is always a story to tell everyday. Todays story, my fellow waiter recieved a $75 tip on a $225 meal. For our customer base in our little town, that is almost unheard of. The story from last night...the entire crew from the seafood restaraunt almost got fired all at once. The owner went down there locked the door, and was in the middle of chewing them out, when he suddenly changed his mind and kinda walked away.
