i don't know if this has been talked about already, but i just found out about it today.
i found this article at an australian newspaper's website: http://www.sundayherald.com/56107
and i found it disturbing on so many levels. we've heard all of these stories about soldiers walking into the living rooms of civilians and killing everyone in sight, but it's always the bad guys, the rebels, the enemy.
it's never north americans.
i don't know anyone who still supports the u.s. in iraq. i don't know why the army is still there. i don't. and i think that the fact that this story comes from sources outside of north america is a huge clue that we need to MAKE ourselves more informed and we need to get involved. that's mostly why i posted this: to make you informed and inspire you to get involved. i'm outraged.
it should be said that i'm canadian, but i don't think we're any less to blame than americans because we haven't stood up as a nation and said "stop".
