entered test mode on my sph-a400 Sprint phone, and would like to testify......Do NOT ALTER ANY SETTINGS! I changed number 005, and could no longer get digital service, even though I changed it back to default. I then changed 018 and back, and the phone was useless. The LED blikned, and would do so until the battery was removed. Turning it on later produced the same results. There may be a fail-safe or something. Also, here's a few other numbers I found. They aren't in any order, so there are bound to be more commands out there. these are the few I got before the phone died.

keyocera 2255
setup
kyocera 2255 from virgin mobile and since its prepaid you have to set up most everything your self here is the information that virgin wireless gave me to set up my phone
1. Start by turning on your phone (press the red End key on the upper right side of the keypad) and wait for it to power up - this should take just a couple of seconds. Check to see that you put your battery back in your phone after activation. Make sure your battery is fully charged, or plug the phone into an outlet - preferably electric. Avoid gas and hamster power sources.
2. You will now see a screen that says "Virgin Mobile" and some other stuff. Using the keypad, enter six "1's." Your screen should show "11-1111." "Option" should now be highlighted at the bottom of the screen. Press the "OK" key.
3. Now are you at the "Options" menu. Using the funny navigational key with the up and down arrows on it, press the down arrow once to highlight the "Programming" option. Press the "OK" key.
4. You'll now be prompted for a security code. Using your keypad, enter "847446" (equals "VIRGIN"). Dial carefully. If you don't enter the code correctly after 3 tries, your phone will lock up. If this happens to you, call Central Intelligence at 1-888-322-1122 for help.
5. After a few seconds, the "Service Options" menu will appear. Press the down arrow on the navigational key once to highlight the "Phone Number" option. Press the "OK" key.
6. You are now on the "NAM1 Phone Number" screen. If any numbers appear on this screen, clear them out by pressing the "CLR" key (this is the key on the right side of the up and down arrows key), until all the numbers are gone. Now enter the new 10-digit cell phone number that we gave you. Hit "OK."

Data cable and software is not the answer to EVERY QUESTION!
HERE IS HOW YOU REMOVE THAT (T-Mobile) ABOVE YOUR TIME!
First set your S105 graphic logo to "On": (thx Dexter)
Click on "Menu" on your S105
Select "Phone Settings"
Select "Display Settings"
Select "Graphic Logo"
Choose "On"
Then send yourself an operator logo:
Go to http://www.nextones.com
Click on the "Register" Tab
Pick your Country (USA)
Choose your phone model (S105)
Enter your personal information
Check your email for login information
Log into nextones.com
Click the "Freebees" icon
Click on the "Free Icons" link
Choose any icon, then click on the "Send" image
Under "Logo - Choose Wireless Carrier" click on the radio button labeled "Logo - T-Mobile USA"
Choose your state in the drop down.
Click the "SEND TO PHONE" button
You should receive a message on your phone - "New Message operator logo Nextones"
Click "View" to go to your Inbox
Click "View" to read the message
Click "Options"
Choose "Save"
When you get back to your main screen you should see that operator logo above your date and time. If you want it to be blank, purchase some credits from Nextones (or play games to get free credits) and create a blank logo, then repeat the process. Make sure you try a free logo first to make sure it works.
If you do not receive a message on your phone, you might want to try using another location (Step 12). For example, California has 2 options under the State dropdown: "California Default" and "California Backup". If "Default" doesn't work, try "Backup".
If you have tried different locations and still don't receive a message, you might want to try selecting a different Carrier (Step 11). Some T-Mobile customers actually use Cingular networks.
Here is a link for FLASHING your phone. (To remove your time/date on your phone)

- Service Provider Lock
The Service provider (SP) lock is used to lock the cell phone to the SP's SIM card. Once the cell phone is locked to a specific operator, if one inserts a SI M card from a different operator the phone will refuse to accept it! The cell phone will however accept another SIM card from the same operator. All Nokia phones (2110 and newer) have four different SIM locks which can be used to lock the phone for upto 4 different providers. But most phones with restriction only have one lock activated. ( lock 1)

The main code used in Nokia phones is:
#pw+(master code)+Y# This code is able to check, activate or remove Sim card restriction (SP-lock).
Use the * key to get the p, + and w characters.
'Y' has to be 1,2,3 or 4 - depending of what lock you what to deal with
#pw+1234567890+1# for Provider-Lock status
#pw+1234567890+2# for Network-Lock status
#pw+1234567890+3# for Provider(???)-Lock status
#pw+1234567890+4# for SimCard-Lock status (master code) is a 10 digit code, based on the phones IMEI number. (I can NOT give you the master c ode - SO DON'T ASK US FOR IT !!!!!!!)
e.g. To remove restriction on lock 1 type following code: #pw+(master code)+1
If you just want to check your phone use 10 random numbers Eg. 1234567890 as the (master code) eg. To check if phone if restricted on lock 1 type the following code: #pw+1234567890+1#
To get "p" - Press "*" three times
To get "w" - Press "*" four times
To get "+" - Press "*" two times

Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR):
On: Enter *3370# and EFR will be activated after a reboot of the phone
( consumes more power )
Off: Enter #3370# and EFR will be switched off after a reboot of the phone.

Half Rate Codec:
This function is NOT available on 8810
Enhanced Full Rate will give you much better sound quality when you enable it. The new Enhanced Full Rate CODEC adopted by GSM uses the ASELP (AlgebraicCode Excitati on Linear Prediction) compression technology. This technology allows for much great voice quality in the same number of bits as the older Full Rate CODEC. The older technology was called LPC-RPE (Linear Prediction Coding with Regular Pulse Excitation). Both operate at 13 kilobits. (but you take up more space on thenetwork, so they can charge you more) - Talk-time is reduced with about 5% Half Rate will give you bad soundquality, which gives the serviceprovider the to have more calls on the network, and you might get a lower charge from them. - Will give you 30% longer talk-time.

Codes for Samsung A563 (possibly works in other models too)!

##2539 + Save key = Akey options
Menu + 8 + * = Field Service Settings

I've tried all the other codes for test mode etc for the Samsung A500 (US equivalent for the A563 www.a500hacking.com) but none of them apart from the AKEY setting works!
