I need to buy a MP3 player, but too confused as too which one.
Options are ipod nano, ipod photo, arcos, sony, creative...
Is there any other worthwhile brand? Which is the best?

depends how much you want to spend mate.
I had a 20gb sony mp3 player for some time, and i love it. it's small, easy to transfer tracks to, and i don't have to put up with iTunes.
However, when all my mates got the new iPod video, i was exceptionally jealous, cos they look awesome. Any of course you can put films on them too!
If i could afford it, i'd go with the iPod video anytime
The nano's have had many technical problems, so you may want to stay away from them. They are also a discontinued race.
