So we now let people stay in Britain as a refugee because they are homosexual? I have no grudge against homosexuals but is this really a valid reason to claim refugee status?
I think not, its crazy and now look what happened to the innocent and we have to pay for his keep in prison. Crazy just crazy

He's being prosecuted and jailed where he's at, why not send him home?

He should have thought of that before he showed his thankfullness by torturing and maybe "killing" (giving HIV to) a young girl...this guy is a real dirt bag,i agree with scorpio die and make die for people like that.
Ya man, he should he send to his country and punished. How could he rape a girl and say that he is homosexual, i think its just an excuse for him to avoid being punished.

you all seemed to have missed that little part of the original quote, he was already on bail for sex with an underaged girl when he raped another. I can understand is claims to being a homosexual to avoid political problems in his native country, but he has clearly shown (to me anyway) his claims of being "homosexual" are (he may be bi-sexual, but he's still a rapist) untrue. Send him back to his own country and let them know why he is being deported and let them deal with him under thier own laws...after making him serve a nice long jail sentence first of course. I wonder how fast he will claim he's not a homosexual once sent back to his native country...possibly using the fact he raped girls as proof.

The reason for homosexuality is a valid reason against deportation to some countries is because if you are found out to be homosexual in some countries, including Zimbabwe you will be killed.
I'd like to point out that this guy is not a twat because he's from Zimbabwe or because he is (allegedly) gay, or because he has AIDS.
He is a twat because he raped a young girl. Having AIDS only makes his crime worse if he did it knowingly. Saying he was gay does not make the crime any worse although it does make him a sneaky liar.
Sorry for the rant but I hate it when the press jump on stories like this and use their blinkered cotton-wool-wrapped brains to decide all of this is only a problem because he was an immigrant!
