How to make Forum a homepage?

Chris24
Question, I am doing a site that will be just a forum. I am using cpanel and phpBB

The only thing is when I go to type in the home page address it brings me to a joomla install. If I type in the homepage adress and the /forum at the end then it will bring me to the page I want. I just want it to load up the forum I created and not the joomla.

Can anyone tell me how to go about doing this?

Move the files from in the /forum directory to the public_html directory. Make sure to replace the index.php page.

move all of the files? every one of them in the forum folder?

Just checking to make sure don't want to screw it up

Are you trying to install joomla and phpBB into a single site? Then I don't really recommend using cpanel to install them. It is always good to try and experience the process yourself.

No not both just phpBB........Was doing it for a friend and I guess Joomla was already on the server.....

its relly easy, try getting the index.php file out of its folder and put it in the main folder, you will have to change some of the paths(may be).
