Everybody is talking about this and that, about new cars and preferred cars.
I m wondering, nobody takes into account the looming oil crisis ahead and nobody gives a sh*** on it!
I am running my diesel-cars on food-oil now since a while and I am looking for ways to get to cheaper food-oil.
This would be an interesting subject for me, f. e. how to built a big majority applying to governments not to tax food-oil for fuel etc.!
Canada for example has huge stocks of "canola" which is rapeseed oil in fact, and its price on the commidity exchanges is now @ 285US$ for 1000l.
Doesn't this sound interesting? 1 US$ per gallon? And much higher efficiency. And nobody cares?

Anyway, I see where you're coming from (The truck I'm building will run on veggie oil.), but most people don't have diesel engines. Even if everyone immediately decided to do what you are doing, the price of diesel-powered cars (and cooking oil) would skyrocket.Ja, find ich auch! Hört sich an, wie ein besoffener Wikinger!

Apparently we have ten years left. TEN YEARS bwfore a major oil crisis! Who saw "what if..... the oil runs out" on BBC the other night?

Sorry, but the next oil-shock is ahead of the curve, I guess
within 3 months we all will sit without any drop of fuel!
I am happy, I am driving food-oil already, which has a much
better economy, no pollution, and is cheaper as well!
But I also take the bus....

I really dont think oil is gonna run out anytime soon.
Theres huge amounts of oilsands in Canada and large oil reserves under america.
Oil companys have actually been shutting down wells and refinerys to create a false demand for oil.
Oil will run out very soon. Don't you watch TV? And besides, there are many other fule types, for example hydrogen. It's already being used. The main prtoblem, that it costs a bit more than to build normal type of cars and because not many people want them, since they're so sure that oil won't end any time soon. Besides, do you realy think that there isn't a new type of fuel we know about? 
Correction about fuel. Type of fuel that we don't know about yet. Surely there is one. Sound stupid to luse status of a "Super Nation" because of some stupid oil.

LOL. Who would wanna volunteer to be the 'fuel generator'?
*looks around for people trying to lose weight like himself' But diesel is as much oil, well more as normal petroleum :S . You cant just worry about not being able to make fuel, what about all the rubbers, plastics and latex huh?????
