Recording Studios - Who got the goods???

I did not see a single post in this area in regards to record production! Seeing as though I have been working with few in terms of multichannel track mixing and digital instrument reproduction, as well as lots of toys I won't even to begin to mention (unless you want to know Smile ).

I just wanted to know how many of you out there have built or are building studios. Maybe some of us need help. Maybe some of us can offer help.

Maybe some of us are hosting our own productions!

I've been running a makeshift recording studio at school for a few months, mainly to record a demo cd for my jazz 4tet.

We have 6 good quality mikes, a six-track that records onto high density MDs, but can bounce all 6 tracks onto track 6 and record another 5.

It means 2 tracks for piano, one for voice, one for bass and 2 for the drums...enough decent recording quality, though there's not much room to play around with it afterwards.

The sound quality is surprisingly good though...no background hissing at all.
