Da-vinci code - the controversial english movie directed by Ron howard and lead star cast by Tom Hanks was released on Friday - 26th May 2006 across the theatres in India.
Due to some of the Issues, the film was held back for one week without releasing.
After the Christians raised their concerns and issues over the film, The Indian Film censor board took an second review for the film and recommened that there would be "no cut" in any scenes - But the film would be a 'A' certified Movied with a Disclaimer that the "Film is fictious" at the beginning.

I don't see what the Catholic Board has managed to achieve. They're going to release the movie under the "A" banner even though it doesn't have any scenes meant specifically for adults.
Also, the statutory "This film is based on fiction" tag is no big deal either. By now, the entire movie-watching populace knows that this tag has come only to appease the Christian populace, and those who believed the book to be true, will surely believe the movie to be true too.
Big deal.
The movie is full of shit. Dan Brown is a big fat lier. I've red the book and have seen the movie. There are so many missing spot. Dan Brown is just a writter. That's all.
me going to see it tomorrow
I m also going to see it in 2-3 days. Hope it is gud. Not read the book.
i read the book but i didn't see the movie, i heard that it's not as good as dan borwn's book
i think that it's a great book, easy to read, a lot of suspense, but we must understand that it's just a fiction, the author and the producer of the movie said that : just a fiction, and a great fiction :the sang real, the secret of the opus dei : not real
Yes the book was alot more interesting. I read the book first after watching the movie. Abit bored when watching the movie cause I already know the story.

Dan Brown, dear friend, has said before the start of the book before the preface that the book was fictitious and it was a novel
fiction means things which are imagined to be in the writer's mind, which may never be true at all
So simply dont criticise dan brown, criticise your own head for not understanding the meaning of a simple english word
And yes dan brown is just a writer, I dont see him mentioning that he was a exotic dancer, so just STFU and dont call anyone a liar unless the person says he is telling the truth and is not doing so.
dan brown never said it was the truth
he only said it was fiction
Unfortunately it does not pierce the numbskull of yours

There's no need to get flamey!
The man is genius. He made a great story and sold it off as truth. And people believe him. That's the problem, they can't recognize the difference between reality and fiction.
Too many conspiracy-hunters out there...
lol well I watched the movie last sunday, I must say that i was impressed by all those famous actors that were starring in it (jean reno,...).
After the movie I had a sudden urge to take a plane to Paris and dig out "Le Louvre"
Anyway, I really liked the movie, i'm going to read the book as soon as I get to the Library
Infact it was a good movie - Thrilling and Suspense packed - directed by Ron howard and Lead acting by Academy Award winner "Gump" Hanks.
The Director has put the right scenes in the right place. Screen-play and Editing was Perfect.

That's true.
But it's not just the conspiracy hunters.
There are some who'll believe it just because it's anti-religious.
There are some who'll believe it because they're pro-pagan (and probably anti-Christianity)
And then there are some who probably never really cared about the history of Christianity or the Holy Grail, but read the book, found it made some sense to them, and started believing it's the truth.
In the end though, you'd have to agree that it's a well-written story
