Well dont think there are free international sms sites. there were few but they are no longer exists.But there are many reginal sms sites , spesific to countries. plz post any free sms sites you use . I think it would help all.
also most of thoese sites Google show as free sms sites in its result are crap sites.

This site is only for UK
But thx for those 2 site for UK and pakistan. info will help others there is www.cbfsms.com which i sometimes use, i find the delivery is hit and miss though. also i send text messages from www.o2.co.uk , you have to register, possibly whatever network your phone is on will offer you some free texts on their website. 
If you are in australia smspup is alright. You have to sign up and occasionaly recieve advertsing emails thar you click on to get points. they also have a lot of other free service.
a free SMS site is really need... but there are only few people kind enough like FRIHOST...we getting the service for free whereas many people paying for half of it..

I just registered with that site (freesmsmate.com.au) but I still have not received by verification code on my mobile yet. They said they have sent the verification code through sms. I received the verification code to my email but I still the sms code. Do they normally take that long to send sms or is it just the verification code that is taking so long?I used to send sms thru http://thesmszone.com/ .They also allow you to send through different mobile #s too.. have you tried

Its not a International sms site , Only works in Pakistan for moblie services Mobilink and Ufone.For Germany:
