I guess I'm doing something wrong...

Mamsaac
95% I'm doing something wrong, 4% I'm just stupid and 1% says there's a problem. At least that's how I see it.

when I edit my index.html "online", instead of editing the file at my computer, deleting the one already up and then uploading the edited file, it brings me an error saying "ERROR: Document not found"

that's pretty much it. What am I doing wrong?

What is your website? we need this to help you.

It could be something like your file is .htm or .php and that is why it isnt' working. And remember frihost is www.(sitename).frih.net

OK try this

Try logging in at these different places

www.yoursite.frih.net/config

or

www.frih.net:2222

or

cp.frih.net

I am sure you have used one of the above 3 for reaching the login page(where you enter your username and password to login)

So try any of the other 2 and see if it works correctly

ok, I will try the other two... so far, I've been doing fine by just deleting and uploading edited file. I will tell you if the other thing works later.

and I don't want to give the site right now... looks awful. Smile I will try other things and try to fix it before that.

thanks.

Just keep a check on what file extension you are giving.. it's .htm or .html and .php or .php3... Are you using cpanel?

www.yoursite.frih.net/config worked. I guess it was just the way I was in.

thanks.
