Does anyone know out there a good Wireless internet program where you can stop people from hacking in your connection and computer?

WEP encryption isn't weak necessarily. It's just the method of WEP gives out far too much information. The encryption algorithm is pretty secure by comparison to a lot of other encryption out there. WPA's big advantage is that it's a rotating key or something like that.
I agree. WPA is the way more secure. Unfortunately not all my hardware supports WPA. Hiding the SSID will not protect from a good scanner, but using a MAC filter will help. And Firewall, Firewall, Firewall. A combination of all these measures will keep away almost all hobby scanners.
