Battlestar Galactica
I have been watching for the past couple seasons the new Battlestar Galactica. I think it is a really good series, although it seems the episodes are fewer than most tv series.
I am old enough to remember the original series. It is pretty hoaky compared to today, but as a child I looked forward to watching it.
I am curious as to how many of you saw the original and are watching the new as well. So time to poll

I watched the original one when I was very young. I thought the cylons were so cool. I didn't mind the fact that the scenes depicting the viper and cylon raider fights were just the same shots played over and over again. You know that trick, where they only shoot a scene once, but they keep playing it several times in different situations to save money.
I don't watch the new one (for reasons unexplained), so I voted no. Though I think the asian chick in the new one is HOT! I think she plays the character of Boomer which is definitely an upgrade because in the old series, Boomer was a black guy.
In the old series, Starbuck was a guy also, so I like the new Starbuck. She can make my latte anyday.
Who remembers the spinoff, Galactica 1980? Huh? Huh?

only think i remember in first series is cylons just remember that they had this moving red light.I was to small to even understand the story. But this new series is one of the best space TV series around today. i think many would say its the best.
And yes Boomer .. she is Hot !

Yeah I'm with you, I watched the old one and I don't watch the new one so much. I think the old one wins for sheer nostalgia value rather than because it was a great show. I also agree with your assessment of the new Boomer and Starbuck.
The original was fun although very dated by todays standards.
The new version is okay but I founf myself getting frustrated as the storylines too often revolved around Baltar and his blonde bimbo.
Smacked too much of soft porn than Sci-Fi.
However, great acting and I love Madam President.
