Aishwarya Rai was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the accident.

Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Aishwarya Rai lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing her instantly.

The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.

Witnesses have stated that Aishwarya Rai's car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll.

Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether she was driving under the influence.

Memorial services for Aishwarya Rai have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.

New Delhi: If the website swellserver.com could be believed, Aishwarya Rai would probably be dead by now.

According to recent news flashed on the site Aishwarya Rai 'died in a tragic car accident'.

A part of the news article read as follows:

"Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Aishwarya Rai lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing her instantly."

After almost sending Ash's fans into a frantic tizzy, the web site posted a disclaimer at the end saying:

"This story was dynamically generated using a generic 'template' and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100 per cent fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank 'non-specific' template for the purpose of entertainment."

Meanwhile, the former Miss World is in best of health and spirits, and is currently shooting in Chennai absolutely safe and sound.

Sounded fishy the moment I saw the speeds mentioned in miles per hour. If Aishwarya Rai had indeed died, you would have had much much more links from an Indian site, which would have given speed in kph, instead of mph.

Also, India would have had a national holiday had she died Razz

Apparently, not only this one particular website, but a few others also had reported the same thing.
The target, I believe, was to get more page-hits and visits to their websites.

It is just a Hoax and a false Information.

Aishwarya Rai (Former Miss. World) Indian actress is in Chennai, India now - on her Call Sheet acting for the Film - GURU directed by one of the finest Director : Mani Rathnam with Abhishek Bachan as the Male star cast and A.R. Rahman as the Music Director.

Laughing Aishwarya Rai fans don't have to worry on this.
