Is it worth buying this thing? Maybe I should just save money and buy the 2005.
2006 Jetta
I think it totally depends on your likes about it, how economical it is for you, if it suits your needs ect...

If I am not mistaken, the 20006 Jetta is completely remodeled? I am a valet and have drivn pretty much every year of Jetta from like 1990 - 2006. Instead of asking us which one we think you should get, go to a car dealership and test drive both the 2005 and the 2006.
The 2006 is completely remodeled, and has a different outside and inside. The tiptronic shifter comes in 6 speed where as the 2005 doesn;t. There are of course many other chages a well, bigger engine, different dash and seats, etc.
So go test drive both then decide.

some time ago i had 87 jetta 1.6TD. i have never driven new jetta, so in my opinion, dont buy jetta, because JETTA reminds me bad days with oily hands ... buy audi, and be happy
lol. It broke down a lot?
The European cars become more and more similar to Japanese cars, and Japanese cares become more and more similar to Europens cars. Nothing really catching for Jetta 2006. Still love my 97 Jetta though.
