Since I'm not loaded down with projects enough, I've been toying with the idea of creating a PatBot, a chatbot modelled after yours truly. What I want to do is basically create my own Jabber client in PHP to run it off of. But I have no idea what the Jabber protocals are, and are having a fiendish time learning them. So I was hoping someone out there with some experience could outline how to communicate with a Jabber network for me. That would be hawt. Thanks.
