Hello,
I am thinking of makeing some podcasts and i would like to record some conversation with people to put on it is there a program out there where i can connct the phone line into the modem and record that.

If you use Skype, there are several free plugins that will allow you to record the conversation. However, it is a legal requirement for you to inform the person you are talking to that you are recording the conversation.

Actually, there is a software to record sound through modem. Advanced Phone Recorder is one of the best recording software from my personal experiance. There are many other softwares available on the net, you can search them in download.com. here is the link to download Advanced Phone Recorder.

To use software to record through the modem, doesn't it have to be a voice capable modem? I tried looking for some software like this a few years ago, and kept running into that problem..my modem was fax/data not fax/voice/data...just wondering if the software has changed since then.
