Where can I start to make my own CMS?

sciondestiny
Hey guys,

I was wondering where I could go to learn how to make my own CMS or something like that. I have used e107, Nuke-Evolution (It is based on PHP Nuke) and I was wondering where or how I could make my own?

I know that it uses PHP+SQL most probably, but is there any place to start me off a bit or some tutorials to tell me whats is better to do than something else?

Thank you for any help!

Learning PHP and MySQL, then looking at the source of another CMS would be a good start to make your own. PHP is not compiled of course so you can even look at the IPB source code, but legally you cannot modify it.

I see will currently I am studying Java Script and hope to finish it soon. I studied c++ so Javascript looks in a way similar to it so I don't really find it that hard. So once I learn PHP I might just do that!

Oh can you recommend me some good CMS. I know that e107 and Nuke-Evolution are pretty good ones!
