The other day one of my friends at work mentined to me that his wife was basicly blackmailing a female friend into buying there boat, something about she is sleeping with someone they know and not her husband and if she did not want her husband to know about it... you get the rest.
My comment to this was, "That is going to come back and bite you in the butt!" Karma!!
He then, in a very load voice said "There is NO such thing as Karma!!!"
Now dont get me wrong, I to seem to see that it is always the bad people that seem to get ahead, and that bad things happen to good people. But I also beleive in KARMA .. I beleive that all good deeds repay themselfs in kind, maybe not right away, but somewhere down the road they do.
How about you?? what are your thoughts on this.

Whether you believe in karma or any afterlife stuff (like going to hell for being a @#$!) things do have a way of leveling out. I find for all the bad luck things that happen to me, I get just as much good luck.
Of course, sleeping around when you are married is pretty stupid, so one could argue that the bad karma is happening to that person with this situation....
I think I just experienced a bit of Karma right now. I am an ex-buddhist (don't ask) and I have always believed in the concept of Karma. However, I've never really gotten the chance to explain it that well. So, for all of my good deeds, I now get to talk about my experiences as an ex-buddhist and how Karma can effect everyday life. However, I am too lazy to do it right now. All I'm going to say right now that Karma indeed exists, whether it likes to show it's face or not.
I believe in karma, but i just think it inforcess basic principles. Do good and you'll be treated well.
I dont believe in Karma. Hell theres people out there whos making so many people work for 18 cents an hour and I dont hear any bad things happening to them. In my opinion its a mere hope for those who have certain beliefs.
I'm not entirely sure that karma exists, that sort of implies that the entire universe is or should be balanced against itself. I'm definitely a believer in LUCK, but I'm not convinced that you always reap what you sow. On a personal level, you do, because you benefit from hard work directly, and benefit directly from interacting well with others, but to imply something unrelatedly lucky will happen because you did something nice earlier is a bit over the line for me. I don't think luck is given out in a fair or balanced manner, though I am sure that most people tend to get whats coming to them. i guess I half believe in Karma.

In Buddhist beliefs, Karma is the energy that you get for doing a good deed. The more Karma you get, the more good things happen to you. If you have bad Karma, then bad things will happen to you. In other words, it's basically "What goes around comes around." However, if you have bad Karma, you can still repent, and do good deeds and get good Karma again. Many people don't think it exists because cruel-hearted people are always getting good things, but Karmic retribution will eventually take it's toll. It may take time, but Karma does exist, and in the bodies of kind-hearted people, it is a very useful tool.
well I posted the question do you beleive in Karma ?
This is my thought on the question.
Yes I beleive in Karma, it can be viewed as something good you do, and something good coming back to you, and I don't mean something good right away, you might not see the result for some time. But I beleive that it will come back to you. You can also beleive that Karma is something good you do for another just for the fact of doing something good. And the feeling that you get at the momement you do it is your reward.
Doing something good/right, just because.
And YES, bad things hapen to good people, and YES it seems that the bad person seems to get all the breaks. I use the word SEEMS, because you only see what is on the surface. You do not know what is going on in his or her life, for all you know this person might be in his or her own hell.
I truly beleive if for no other reason that in the hope that the good deed or the doing the right thing, inspires someone else to do the same.
I am a Marine, so Karma is something you pass on in your day to day actions with others, Honor, commitment , courage.
So either you beleive or you do not, it is your choice.
BUt remember that which you do, is noticed, and remembered.
Practice random acts of Kindness.

I certainly think thought that Karma exists. But, I do not know I am feeling the other way round for a year or so. I just get frustuated when bad things happen and always try to help others. Anyways, I do not want to jump my mind around thing that I beleive in Karma or Not!
I really don't know what I bealive.
I don't bealive in free will and in that case Karma don't exist. But, this world is runing on some naturale low created from, we can say Conscioussnes, and in that case Karma (reaction on some action) exist.

I have come to this conclusion concerning most religious subject matter:
Logically esoteric belief systems (such as Karma) are improbable. I don't give them much thought with any sense of terrifying truth that could potentially hurt my existence. I don't worry about "HELL" or anything like that because I just don't see any physical existence of any such place.
I do however find them to be very beautiful ideas. Some have been used and are still used to encourage or feed very negative human behavior, some encourage us to do beautiful things. Karma is a good example of the good kind and weather you believe it to be absolute truth, its still a really good way to live your life in respect to your behavior towards others. So I guess its a double edged sword. Most of the things I have come to find "beautiful" have turned out to be roses with sharp poisen thorns : )
Moved to Philosophy and Religion.
Karma is just a natures way of levelling things out! Things have to be balanced, whether it's energy or human actions!
karma does exists... atleast people who says karma doesn't exist have atleast heard the saying: what goes around, comes around
Karma dose not exist, its the product of wishful thinking. People won;t the guilty to be punished and the innocent to be reworded. So some one came up with Karma.
I believe there is no way to beat Karma, you will reap as you sow. If you believe in the concept of the immortal soul, then Karma accumulates forever, as long as you remain in the cycle of birth and death, and your current misfortunes could be due to bad Karma accumulated at an earlier time.
for people who says that there is no karma.. and that they don't belive in it.. think atleast once if you have experinced it.. and I am pretty sure that there is nobody in this world that hasn't experinced karma atleast once in his life time..
No one has ever experienced karma. No one has ever experienced luck or precognition ether but people believe they have. Its all about selective memory quintessence and numbers.
A person wins the lottery, they attribute it to luck or karma when really it all has to do with odds. A person thinks he can predict who's on the phone before he answers it, he remembers when he gets it right but rarely remembers the many, many, many times he got it wrong.
I myself don't particularly belive in karma, but that's not to say it doesn't work for many people.
Now blackmail on the other hand, as in this case, will come back and bite him on the butt. What if the husband doesn't belive his allegations....he's in for a down-and-dirty beating.
I know I digress....but since my religion doesn't allow for karma, or the belief in it, all I could think about was this (no matter if she was right or wrong....I don't believe in extramarital sex either) blackmailed woman, and the terror (what if her husband is/was a wife beater) she must be going through.
