anyone ever heard of "bookmarks"?
be cool scorpio, n4l ain't going anywhere
The funny thing about tinyurl's claims and it making our urls longer?
That's a nifty service. Anyone know how it works? They must make a record of every url that is typed and assign a unique 'shorter' url. However, the would require a great deal of storage space, especially since the urls never expire.
Well truthfully these services are mainly for people who have little homepages and websites with extremely large urls that wish to make them a little simpler to give out to friends and family, not to make it easier for you to get to a page as numerous people have said before me that's what the bookmarks are for. I have also noticed this before i found freehost when i was using a free service that allowed me web space but the URL was just ridiculous on the size. However they did make it a little better but not by much and sometimes even made it more confusing. If you only using these services for personal use i would suggest using your bookmarks if your using it for public use then i guess it all depends on how long and confusing your URL is. Now i'm not allowed to spam here but i have found a great service that allows you to specify the name of the domain then you have a selection of .Com's or .biz, or .goodsite etc. to choose from i think around 100 different ending to choose from if i remember correctly. Either way it was a great service and i would definitely use it again if needed. Again i can not spam here so if someone is in need of a service such as this get in contact with me personally Via personal messaging or e-mail. I hope i can help some of you looking for good services such as this.
