A few Problems...

dwcnps
I have a Few Problems withe my website...

Firstly, My Index Page is okay but the rest aren't.

Secondly, http://www.dwcnps.frih.net/index2 Does not play the music that http://www.dwcnps.frih.net/ Uses.

Lastly,http://www.dwcnps.frih.net/artgallery has some how reverted back to how it first started (not a pretty sight)

In Conclusion, I need someone to help me get rid of the problems.
(Note: I use FrontPage to publish my site)

Thankyou...

Using frontpage is a good way to learn what HTML is capable of.

From the looks of your site, it is already time for you to move away from WYSIWYG frontpage, and actually do the coding for your site.

The background music is specified by the <bgsound> tag. This is not a good method to use, because it is not really html. If you must use background music, either use an applet, or use flash. The end user has no control over this music, and it quickly becomes annoying. But, for your theme, this can be very appropriate....

The music files specified from both pages are not the same.

Index2 :
Code:
<bgsound src="Dr_Who_Theme_1996.mid" loop="-1">

Index1
Code:
<bgsound src="Doctor%20Who%201.mid" loop="-1">

I would rename both of these files. Change them to all lowercase, and remove the %. 20 . This may help. On the server, file name are case sensitive.

Lastly, consider washing out your backgrounds, or changing colors significantly. There is too little contrast between backgrounds and text, making the text very hard to read.

Thats my Old back music: doctor who theme 1996. well thats not good.

By the way, the things not behaving it's found the old picture gallery page, Also I chose black for the text but I used to use that colour.

It's a problem with publishing my website pretty much but there might be a few other problems (including the ones you pointed out).

I don't remember the %20's in the filename

Thankyou...

I remember I published my webs instead that contains my old one.

also I embeded the sound but the plug-in doesn't play the sound.

Embed seems to be a better choice for this item.

One problem that can occur is that this method requires the plug-ins to be correctly installed on the user end. You don't know which media player is going to handle the music, or what the player is going to display in the plug-in box. This is non-compliant, but seems to be acceptable.

The %20 's ... only in windows OS are spaces allowed in file names. In most other OS's, space is not a valid character, and so is replaced by %20 (which is code for a space).

Your next step, open background pics in a photoeditor and wash them out to white some... this will make text alot more visible.

Don't worry the text is black now (black looks visible), I found my problem, I published the wrong files. you can go back and look at the changes at http://www.dwcnps.frih.net/artgallery
