PHP Mail Function

Special Forces
Hey,

Before I sign up and ask for my hosting I have one simple question.

Do your servers allow PHP's ()mail function? My other host which I currently have doesn't allow it. And I use php a lot for most of my site so having this function is pretty crucial for my site to run.

Thanks for your anticipated help,
SF

Also do you allow me to use my own domain name to be hosted by FriHost? I already have it registered and hosted elsewhere and want to know if I can move it along with my hosting here.

I believe the mail function is operational. Confirmation, someone?

Yes, frihost can host your domain, as long as you can change it's nameservers.

Hope this helps you,
Foggy

OK I'll wait on that confirmation for the PHP.

Yup I can easily change the nameservers.

Also one last question and then I won't bother or waste your time. Embarassed

Can you add something called "A" Records to a record to my account that will point toward a specific IP? It's something that needs to be done by the host in order for my forum hosted by InvisionFree to have a subdomain name.

Thanks.

The php-mail is certainly working as long as you don't use it for spam of course. You can also host as many domains as you want.

Unfortunately we cannot do the "A" Records thing.

It says you're host should have the ability. Silenced

We won't do this because we are a free webhost and not a dns subdomain provider. The subdomain needs to be hosted by us.

is there any reason why a user can't use another dns record provider such as www.everydns.net to create A records that point here?

That way the user could create as many records as they required.
