New Zealand offered for sale on eBay
SYDNEY, May 12 (UPI) -- Online auction site eBay was forced to halt bidding for New Zealand, after an Australian man offered the country for sale.
The island nation in the South Pacific was described as having "very ordinary weather," and bidding opened at 1 cent, The Australian reported Friday.
More than 22 bids were posted, with one potential buyer offering $2,300, before eBay noticed and withdrew the country from its listings.
"Clearly New Zealand is not for sale," said Daniel Feiler, eBay's Australian spokesman.
Feiler said mostly household items were offered for sale, but occasionally "quirky items" were posted on the site and had to be removed.

Well, what more can you say?
Ain't the sales on ebay getting odder by the day?
What else is going to come up, no guesses>....
On ebay a while back i saw chewygum that britany spears had on there for like 5k?
thats retarted , you know the guys from dudesons they sold their hair on there hahaha
Hilarious, selling something you don't own...
My friend sold 5 air guitars for $20 each XD
That's pretty funny. I heard once a man sold Air from a Michael Jackson Concert. That's pretty retarded but somewhat smart.
New zealand for sale. I searched ebay and couldn't find it. I found this though.
Too rich for my blood.
Thats what i said .... Cheap land is always good
Seems like a good deal to me, the top bid was only 2300 hundred dollars. Of course it is surprising that there were actually idiots who participated in the bidding on the country, however I still expected someone to offer a more realistic price.
Sold the air of a concert is smart!!!
Maybe I will do this when I go to the show Friday.
I'm selling air on ebay for $10,000. It's special air produced by n0obie4life. It will be packaged in a plastic bag.
Transportation fees at $50 by Fedex.
Anyone interested

That's gross.
I think I'll do this:
1: Claim Pluto as my own (who says you have to go there to claim it?)
2: Make an official-looking deed
3: Sell it on ebay (or better yet, plots of land on it.)
4: Repeat. (I think I'll do the second moon of Mars next.)
People are already selling plots on the moon as if they own the place.
It has not come to ebay, but thats about it.

Who knows. There could have been some particles of plastic in it
.
Still, selling New Zealand? Good job whoever
Oh, and what would the postage costs be?
Really funny news
It is amazing that such offer was living for enough long time before removal. So, ebay "otjeg".
ebay is silly, they should have just let the auction go on, and then see what happens when Michael Jackson wins and declares him self the sultan of Newzeeland?
I wonder how much greenland would be worth
