Of nukes, censorship and inappropriate moderator behavior...

Billy Hill
S3nd K3ys posted this in another thread which was promptly locked by an over-zealot moderator who obviously doesn't like k3ys and wants to keep him quiet.

It's very disturbing to me knowing that Iran has been found to have HIGHTLY ENRICHED URANIUM AT A MILITARY SITE.

I guess, even though it is very disturbing news and should be discussed, at least one moderator here feels that, because the news was delivered by S3nd K3ys, it must be squelched.

I'm sure if any other member had brought it up, it would not have been locked.

K3ys even made a good comment on the situation.

It's a shame that several moderators on this forum are continuously allowed to show thier personal side in regards to certain members, and continue to act like irresponsible, over-powered individuals.

I understand K3ys has a certain 'way' about him, but he puts thought into his posts, and has been an excellent contributor to this forum.

Diplomats: Enriched uranium found in Iran

Friday, May 12, 2006; Posted: 12:09 p.m. EDT (16:09 GMT)

VIENNA, Austria (AP) -- The U.N. atomic agency found traces of highly enriched uranium at an Iranian site linked to the country's defense ministry, diplomats said Friday, adding to concerns that Tehran was hiding activities aimed at making nuclear arms.

Not very long most likely. But the reason for that assessment isn't that particular report.

The letter Ahmadinejad sent is most consistent with the warnings that must (under Islamic law) be undertaken prior to engaging in a full-scale effort to destroy your enemy. Best guess is that before long they make a public statement (oral) to a similar effect and then issue a fatwa and have it announced at Friday prayers. But then, they've already been attacking us covertly for decades. . .

The report of enriched uranium is not unprecedented. The previous sample was eventually attributed to residual uranium left on equipment they purchased elsewhere. You can expect an all-out effort to make this sample out to be simply a contaminant.

Here's what the moderator had to say in the thread he closed...

S3nd K3ys, give us all a rest and if I topic comes up on Bush, the War or Religion, don't reply.

So I take it K3ys is not allowed to participate in the above mentioned discussions?

How childish. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Isn't it so Billy Hill. Its an actual shame that S3nd K3ys flames whenever the War, Bush or Religion is involved because it does seem that he's very clever in other threads.

Also note that I discussed that thread with other members of staff and that wasn't even the original reply

Then why don't you address those situations in those threads instead of locking a good topic? If he flames, ask him to stop. Then lock the thread. Then ban him.

Don't wait until he posts a new thread, which is obviously NOT a flame, and lock it down.

I'm really starting to wonder about the level of professionalism of the staff of this board.

I guess if you're a supporter of Bush, the War on Radical Islam (aka terrorism), and anything else that is against the moderators, you're SOL and can't expect fair treatment by the staff here.

Every other board I've been on has kept moderators from using their 'power' to further their beliefs or to prevent other's beliefs.

Except here.

Also, perhaps you'll be so kind as to point out what exactally was 'against' the rules, as you put it?

The staff discussion led the the thread being locked.

Your guess is incorrect. It seems that this thread was to discuss the Staffs actions, now that this has been done this thread can also be -locked- If you'd like to discuss it further please don't hesitate to PM me.

Update: sorry, i seemed to miss your last post. One of the reasons was the title of the closed thread.

Billy Hill, you have no reason to be here, but to support and prop S3nd K3ys, which is the generally accepted impression of you here. You jump in to rescue S3nd K3ys whenever, wherever her posts, or so it seems.

You've only posted 98 posts here, what makes you better qualified than any moderator here on Frihost who's been more regular here and posted much more here to say that S3nd K3ys has been an excellent contributor to these forums? Unless by "excellent contribution" you mean regular flaming, personal attacks, over-zealous posting, name-calling, etc? (Which used to be, at least, a thing of the past, if not now.)

I suppose that you should say that to the legions of other members who are outright Bush supporters and seem to face no problems. Or say that to the bigger group of members that are Catholic fanatics and regularly post highly anti-Muslim posts.

Don't judge a website you barely visit by a few incidents here and there, especially when you barely know anything about its rules and regulations.

I suspect S3nd knows by now that all disputes regarding a moderator's actions have to setlled with the mod in question by PMing him, not by starting threads like this, which will get locked. I suggest that you better read the Forum Rules yourself too, before doing something against the rules like this again.
