i would like to know about some freewares which i can use to recover data from harddisks,cdroms,flooppies etc.

PC Inspector File Recovery is excellent. It takes a while, but it's well worth it.

Must be very careful with recovery of lost data even if you buy an expensive one is stil not 100% sure that will work so you can see how a free might not do the job.
It always depend of the file system, the method of erased, and the method that is used by you to recovery it
