I think Miyazaki's animes are great!
Especially Princess Mononoke because of it's environmentally conscious theme and of course Howl's moving castle and Spirited away with the Love theme!
The question I pose is, what theme does Poko Rosso have?
Hayao Miyazaki is a genius when it comes to animated movies. Not only anime, but any animated movies. He boasts probably the most inspirational ways of movie making known to man. I've heard people say he rivals even Disney. While I won't say that's necessarily true, Disney has come up with some crappy movies lately (The Wild looks surprisingly like another movie ... about zoo animals ... going out to the wild ...)
Porco Rosso seems to be a story of reminiscence and living up to one's dreams ...? Love was a small part of course, with Porco and the woman, but that wasn't until late in the movie. I watched it in another language which I know partially well, but the theme was pretty prevalent none of the less.
