The Four Agreenments

This is actually a book, but since it deals with philosophy and 'Toltec' teaching i thought i might share a little something i found interesting on it.
First of all it's one of those books that you might know as 'Self-Help' but it's very interesting in how the author proves the Church's idea of hell.

The church calls hell, a place where you burn, and sufer for an ethernity. Were all the bad things will happen to you for an eternity.
Well, the Toltect teaching show you that to live a better life you need to be your own God, becuase the life we live 'eath' IS HELL, if you think about it it's in some way true, we may not BURN physicaly, but emotionally we to burn and sufer in big ways as we go through life. but only if we want to.

There is alot to more to say, but i want to start something here, so lets go slow. what do you think.

Please keep it serious, don't post anything stupid.

This sounds reasonable enough. I hope the book recognizes the need for us to "burn".

That is to say, make mistakes and learn from them. Or better yet, appreciate the fire that's scarred others, and learn from their mistakes. Twisted Evil

Following the reasoning, I get to conlcude that burning is not a bad thing after all. In fact, if we are burning here in hell so we can make mistakes and learn from them...then God bless the hell!!! because it is going to teach us how to reach heaven.

But there is something I dont get, What the book says about the argument of the churh. How does the book counter-argument it????

Do you know, I personally always held the notion of this world being the only Hell. My personal extended philosophy also contains karma and rebirth and freedom from it all when we deserve it. This makes me unafraid of Death, and respect it as much as I respect Life itself.

Post more about this philosophy and I'll show you more about my own beliefs.

Well, see since back when the the 'Toltec' civilization was alive, there was no 'church' but the author of the book put it as an example of how we do not live our very OWN life, we just make AGREEMENTS with what is already here.

And it's true, for exaple, if you are born and raised chatolic, you agree to what they have to teach within your religion, you really don't have a chooise on what parts of the religion you want to follow or agree with, you HAVE to agree with the whole thing.

I am not sure if i answered your question but please do ask
