Installing Linux on windows 2000 installed machine

here is the procedure to install linux on windows installed machine....


boot you system on windows...

goto disk management, create extened partition on free memory...

create a drive for 1GB on FAT 32,

leave other free memory (don't format)

boot your pc with linux CD1,

and select auto parition....

select boot loader as you want...

this is the simple procedure install Linux in windows installed system..

From my experience installing Linux and Windows 2000 on the same machine, I just install Windows normally then install Linux on there too, the 2nd partition is completely optional and Linux usually has an exellent boot manager (i.e. Xandros) Linux is pretty much a clean installing and smooth updating OS.
