I wouldn't take your word for it.

however sad this is, and as a parent I find it very disturbing, it honestly does not surprise me. This particular case (I did read the article) seems to be a tragic accident that may or may not have been avoided, but by and large todays youth seem to have a much more cavalier attitude towards drugs and thier usage than I did at the same age. Considering I was a teen in the mid 70's, that's really saying something.
It's definately a sad world we live in today, and it's only gunna get worse =/
It only illustrates the dangers of drugs. They're a more severe problem in my opinion, than terrorism, and our first priority overseas should be combatting the drug trade.
Heroine is one of the more dangerous illegal substances. I know the night a friend of mine's brother died, thier cousin went into panic mode and had a heroin overdose. He was in the hospital for days.
Does anything good come from drug use? Not that I've seen.

I am assuming your question here is a rhetorical one my friend, no good can come from drug use or abuse, or any abuse for that matter by definition, but I do understand, and agree totally with your point here. From what I read in the article it doesn't really say if this kid was a drug user or if it was an accident...I guess it really doesn't matter, he's still dead.
This should be an example to any out there who are thinking of trying drugs...it only takes one mistake to kill you...so don't take the chance.
Some people do it on a "Get high or die" principle

I agree, it's the drug trade that funds most of the terrorist activities that go on in the world today. But like the oil industry there are too many people making too much money out of it. Just one big vicious circle.
