Hey, can anyone explain this system of ads. Is it free to sign up if you are planning to post ads on your website? I see that you can set the price for the ad to be on your site for a period of time. This seems like a better deal than google adsense. If im missing something, can someone plesae explain?
manumiglani
Well In adbrite, you just sign up with your site and then you can sell your site's space to advertisers who are willing to advertise on your site. You can set your own pricing. for example you can set the price for different size ads per day/week/month yourself and then if advertisers are interested they can contact you. You can also sell your space on the basis of per pay click system that means that you will only be paid if a user clicks on the ads from your site. In Adbrite, you also have the ability to decine a advertiser. So, you can only choose the advertisers that suits you.

Thank you for the quick response, so if i sign up to sell my space on my site....its totall free for me....This sounds soo much better than google adsense, you can control anything basically. I guess the only problem would be getting advertisers to want to buy space on your site.
Scorpio
That must mean your site must be popular for an advertiser to sign up and also to offer a large amount

Yes, you can even set your pay per click price means you can set the price you will be getting from a click on the ads which can't be done in google adsense.

Well, for this either your site has to be very popular or you have to set competitive prices.
Hobbit
This sounds like a good deal! Bwahaha. I might get it, not yet though, once my site becomes popular. Wink

sounds pretty damn good, thanks for responding with each question i had. Seems like if you set low prices, you will more than likely get ads. Do they just send you ad through an email or something?

Well when you sign up with them, you can set your own price with your site's name, category etc. Advertiser can see all the info and when he wants buy the advertisement adbrite will ask for your approval. You will be emailed that a advertiser has shown interest to advertise on your site and you should approve the advertisor.

alright, i think i'm wait until my site is finished than apply for adbrite. Do companies shy away from sites that arent a full domain like .com or .net. Right now i have a frih.net lol....so we'll see what i'm going to do...suggestions will be appreciated.

Well fully qualified domain names do help a lot. But, the thing that matters the most is the no. of unique visitors. My friend got a website on geocities that received about 20000 unique visitors every day and he got a hell lot of money by publishing adbrite ads on his website.

When an advertiser has shown interest to advertise on your site, the money you get from him are going at your AdBrite's account?

Yeah, you will receive your money from adbrite, not from the advertiser.

Hello Hobbit,

Well very unfortunate that you got such a less amount of money from adbrite. But, can I ask you how many clicks did you get and did you publish your ads on your site on per click basis?

I honestly don't know, that site is the most confusing I've ever been in. All I know is that I'm gonna change my minimum payment to 5$ and then bye bye adbrite.

This is a question to anyone that's using Adbrite.

What's the average amount you get per click? Also what's the lowest and highest amount you've gotten for a click?

I do not use adbrite, but I know the answer.

In Adbrite there is no average amount that you get per click. You set your own per click rates and if advertiser is ok with that, he/she can advertise on your site.
Jamatu
Then rather how much would but a good price per click be for a small website?

It depends on many factors but the pay per advertisers mainly look for one thing that is no. of visitors the site gets.
Jamatu
Ok, but my questions still stand about the lowest, highest and average earnings per click. And the prices per click for a small website.

I will compare myself the popularity of their website and the amount of earnings they receive

Ok, I will try to answer them as clear as I can. hopefully, you would be understand them this time. Do not hesitate to ask again if this is not clear.

Well you will not get the lowest, highest and average amount of earnings per click because you will only get the price per click which you set yourself while selling your ad space. For example, if you set the price of 1$ per click, then will get $1 on every click. You will not get anything higher or lower than 1$ per click. Is it clear ?

And the prices per click for a small website depends on the no. of visitos it get per month, domain under which it is hosted etc. Can you let me know your website and the no. of visitors it gets so that I can help you in finding the ideal per click rate.
Also, you can use link worth calculator to calculate the worth of static text links ( not per click ) on your site and that too on per month basis.
Jamatu
I see now thanks for putting me straight. I was under the impression that advertisers approached you with offers and you could accept or deny them (ONO OVNO etc) so it would vary for the different companies you advertise for.

Ok regarding the website
URL - http://pics.uk.to
Unique visitors - 363
Page views - 2828

The website hasn't officially been up for 2 weeks yet. The stats I've given above are estimates based on statistics for the past 9 days ( 9 x 3.3 = 29.7 days) which is when I started using Awstats to record the data. 110 Unique visitors and 857 page views.
