The Ultra Mobile PC has a 7" display and has Windows XP Tablet PC editon built into it. it has a 40 GB hdd inside. You are supposed to be able to sync any XP compatible program that meets the hardware's specifications. The cost of the Ultra Mobile PC is a hefty $1099

Nealio1000: ure right i also saw it at that place wehn i went to the microsoft site.

I found one small problem with the umpc. its the Celeron processor located inside that runs at 900 mHz. hopefully it wont need to process that much information so it will still go fast...

It looks good and is probably intended as an accessory to a main computer. Even so I would definitely want more speed than a 1.0GHz cpu.

Things will only get smaller and better, whch seems to be the case for most electronc gadgets. Also electronics is one of the few areas where prices actually decrease over time here in Australia, I don't know about the rest of the world.

I think the UMPCs from almost every manufacturer are priced way too high for what you get. You might as well buy an actual laptop with more stuff compare to what are being offered right now. I wouldn't buy one until it dropped to atleast $500-$600 at the current configuration.
