DO you get some of the money from the adds on frihosts fourm ?
Vrythramax
I have a question....rumour has it that you hold the record for being the oldest still active Frihoster, is that age or time with Frihost? If it's age you may be able to shed that record Wink
TeenZine

Tell me this is not happening to me. Confused

Shocked
14 is "pretty close" ... give or take a decade. Wink
And I do spend a lot of time on my computer ... perhaps because I get paid for that.

TeenZine wrote:

There's a link in my sig ... nothing you'd want to waste your time on, though.

TeenZine wrote:

Grow a pony-tail. Cool

No ... Rolling Eyes
I'm an unpaid henchman.

Vrythramax wrote:

It definitely has to do with the date when I joined FRIHost and not my birthdate.
Even so, the oldest and still-active member would be Bondings, not me ... unless Bondings is not considered a member.

Vrythramax wrote:

I am aware of a few "ancient" members here who beat me hands down to that crown ... and I'm not upset at all. Very Happy

manumiglani wrote:

I'm an e-flogger.
I earn a living out of programming ingenious bugs and inflicting severe mental trauma upon those naive enough to use my company's software.
(or atleast that's what I pretend to do when my Boss is around)

TeenZine wrote:

That's Calvin on my avatar and sig.
Calvin on Wikipedia and example strips.
Calvin the character was created by Bill Watterson ... the sig, by me.

The latitude-longitudes of my location are in my profile. They should give you a fair idea where to target your intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Go right ahead ! I don't own the copyrights to Calvin anyway.

The place where Bondings comes from, they don't have the concept of "time" or "age". They implement their scatter/gather I/O in Simula-67, augmented with opportunistically pipelined extensions. The model for their heuristic consists of four independent components: simulated annealing, active networks, flexible modalities, and the study of reinforcement learning annotation.

TeenZine wrote:

At my office we have big HP all-in-ones.
I undertake any kind of bulk printing jobs - cheap !

TeenZine wrote:

Halloween costume ? No ... this is how I always dress. It does draw "looks" from people around me, but do you really think it's embarassing ?

No, I'm the Morpheus from the greek mythology.

He would not have understood a word o it.

Anyway, morph, isn't simula 67 a project to develop OOP languages or something??

Next Question:

I am running out of questions to ask you, so what can I ask now?

If his latitude stuff was right, then I found out where he lives ..

Obviously he must be working there..

There was a post in between those two "double" posts of mine that was later removed due to "some" reason.

Post moderation appearances of threads can be deceptive. Wink

oh they do have enough money, but they wouldn't keep it very long if they just wasted it on unimportant things like employee benefits, proper R&D, or Alpha testing Smile

Just heard that mOrpheuS is celebrating his fifth year with Frihost today, 28 April 2010. Congratulations mOrpheuS! Dancing And thanks for all the hard work. Most of it is invisible, but still very much appreciated.

OK, so when I was digging, this thread was the closest I could find to an interview with mOrpheuS. Smile

So hope it is OK to continue with some questions four years on?

Q1: Where do you see yourself five years or ten years down the line? Cool

Q2: Over the last five years, what event about Frihost do you remember with the greatest pride/satisfaction, and what event stands out as the darkest hour for you?

Q3: What is your advice, as Frihost's official nice guy, for dealing with Frihost's mean guys? Smile

Q4: Which of Calvin's philosophies has had the greatest meaning for you?
mOrpheuS
deanhills wrote:

Certainly ! If I must be a virtual celebrity, might as well be an enduring one.

deanhills wrote:

Aha ! cheap witticism time -
In a mirror !
But seriously, I'm not one to plan that far in advance.

Having never really been engaged in a cyber-conflict. But that comes with striving to be the nicest guy™ around. Wink
deanhills wrote:

None really. In my version of FriHost, everyone eats rainbows and poops butterflies.

I wouldn't know.
I haven't mastered the art of having a decent conversation with the Internet's most fixated trolls myself.

deanhills wrote:

Calvin's philosophy addresses all fundamental matters of life and universe.
And I find all of it influential.

Mission was certainly accomplished. Calvin is great as well. When you post, I always have a look at your signature first, and then find myself refreshing a couple or more times. Great for bringing a person down to earth.

Right. It has definitely inspired me too. Most of all though, excellent for light relief and putting things in the right perspective.
