if you see that picture, would you think it's an picture?
but it's not... is an ascii art that fooled everyone until you look at the source code!
please look at it while loading!
Link
isn't that unbeliveable? do you know how to do it?
yes! it's Boosty's ASCIIArtist using colored 1px "W" to make this happen!
Animal: Edited thread to include "link" text - preventing the page width from being messed up
lol i copied it all and pasted it in wordpad
endless wwwwwww
Rofl, that was pretty good.
It is a PHP Script that generates these stuff...definitely not hand-coded...just key in any URL to the address bar...this works too:
Link
Just change these

&resolution=1&mode=3&color=%23000000&font-size=1&line-height=1&letter-spacing=0&fixed_char=W&new_window=on
Animal: Page-width fixed as above
Or go to http://www.sebastian-r.de/asciiart/
By the way try using █ as the text instead of W, it looks almost perfect, a few more I haven't tried but am planning to after this post █░۞Ω
Edit: LOL ۞ produces some weird ass results!
Edit2: WTF can't say a!
WHOE!!!
That is amazing. Just with W's 1px large and different colors, you can create such a complicated image???
It is amazing, sure!
No quality is lost at all!
I think you can use it as an anti-image-copy-tool for your website.
Cool
Well, it does stress the computer a lot more than a normal image, so I would not recommend using this for your images.
It is so cool, there is no lost of quality..
all i can say is OMG!! mind blowing
Although taxing on the webpage, this method is awesome and I might use it on one or two page on my site, and tell my user to copy to notepad to show them this effect
lol nice... thats wierd its all wwww's if copied and pasted
I like computer art of this kind.It is amazing.
dude that is awesome!
:two thumbs up:
extremely cool...the coding done to create a script that makes this must be extremely tedious. Just think, it would probably be possible to make the characters any message you wanted (maybe even part of a book).
errrhhmm... it's "old" for me. Everyone at Gamefaqs use it.
it's cool, but it isn't anything way too amazing

Let's see you make one from scratch, then.
This is awesome!
I'm trying to generate my own picture using this tool for fun.
thanks
Its amazing man. Thanx a bunch for all you did. I will rock my friends off their seats with this. THanx
It's amazing yes, but if you had to do it by hand it would have taken a very looong time... Can't imagine anyone that are so boored that they would actually go through with that.
Use a period as the character for invisible images (unless selected).
Lol, You may Love this script. And guess what, so do I!
Its a damn shame my computers gives up and dies when presented with this much text.
Damned slow machines
Do you know aalib or libcaca? these are pretty good librarys, that can do this in realtime, and you can play videos (with mplayer or vlc) in console
Wow, that's pretty cool. If it weren't for the fact that it takes a while to load an image in such an ASCII format, I'd be using it for a lot of the images on my site layouts (probably won't stop me from doing it with fair warning of what may lay ahead for the visitor, though). Thanks for sharing this link.

Since all the chars are only 1px, I figure that the char doesn't really matter much anyway...
I'M TRULLY AMAZED!!
I mean I know so little... how in hell did those guys do that? All i know is basic htmlll... not even that! LOL I'm a newbieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
HOw do they do that?? i meannnnnn there must be a software that converts colors and creates mini frames the size of the pixels!!
does anyone havea clue ?
comite it is simple php... no it isn't creating mini frames...
