Do you know how to make text box drag&drop with mouse in Gimp? When I try to select the text it takes under the layout and the text abandons when I move from its origianl place.
The Gimp how to?
It's pretty simple if you want to move text arround, when you enter some text onto the image it creates a new layer, you need to select that layer. Once you've selected the layer you can then use the 'Move Layers and Selections' button to move the text to wherever you want.
If you need a more in-depth tutorial I will take some screens and explain them.

I could not find the 'Move Layers and Selections' button
just go to bestbuy and get photoshop cs2 for 175$ or you can discuss other options elsewhere since warez isnt allowed on these forums but who needs hacked prgms
Hey Gimp isn't warez at all!!! This is why most people who use free Gimp doesn't want to pay for Photoshop...

yea. GIMP isnt warez. it is a legal open source pic editing software!
Not only not a Warez, indeed it's the best open-source Image Proccesor.
You can check the info and help and find the answer for your question.
Did you know there is a binary port for Windows?
You can check it here:

Hey people I still did not find the "move layers and selections" in my hungarian gimp. Where can I find that button?
Just take a look:
As you can see, you could simply press the keyboard shortcut, 'M'.

Is that the gimp 2.x, or are you just using an eye-candy WM?

What does that have to do with anything?
For that matter, what does photoshop have to do with this thread?

That's The GIMP 2.2.x using the "Crystal" theme and running in KDE.
It was very useful, now it works! Thanks!
On the subject of text boxes in GIMP.
I cant figure out how to resize a text box once i have made it. It simply just grows to fit the text, what if i want to make it a certain size or shape.
