The description of the disc doesn't make the disc seem all that amazing, but who knows. I'm hoping it is good but not too good so she doesn't leave Metric because I love Metric

Monday, April 24, 2006 In a Canadian exclusive announcement, Metric chanteuse Emily Haines has revealed to MuchMusic she will release a solo record in September 2006. Knives Don't Have Your Back will come out on Last Gang Records, and is described as a collection of piano-driven songs backed with soft strings and horns. Emily told MuchNews the record was four years in the making, and that there are guest spots on the record by members of Stars and Broken Social Scene (of course). She also put the kybosh on the question of whether she was leaving Metric, saying "Hell no, never," and reaffirming that "Metric is always going to be number one for me." |
