I notice that there are two versions of the wired 360 controller, the standard one, and one that is advertised as the "Microsoft Common Controller", is listed as windows compatible and costs £10more. I assume the difference is that the Common Controller includes some kind of drivers, but are they actually needed? It is a USB controller, so wouldn't either version work? If it works without a driver, what does the driver add?
