Actually he doesnt, but i cant stand him anyway. Everyone is ranting and raving over his shot that won the game, he wouldnt have had the chance to if the refs would have called the timeout the nash was yelling for. Or called the foul that the laker players were TRYING to do. They were TRYING to foul him to send him to the free throw line. Granted, i was never that good at basketball, but when i tried to foul, i usually succeeded. And im pretty sure they did too. I dont know why the NBA doesnt just give the lakers a Ticket to the Finals. Do not pass go, dont play anymore games, just go to the final series.
Kobe Bryant sucks
Well actually.. I don't gey what do u want..?
Bryant is the "hottest" player in the NBA today... and i congralutions for his second baby... and I hope that the Lakers gonna win The Suns

Better congratulate O'Neal on his baby too.
Its hard to root for him but you got to go with the facts man. Hes averaging what, 30 points a agme now? thats is insane. He basically is the Lakers now.

Insane?
Let me tell you something that is insane! This player (not Kobe!), once AVERAGED over FIFTY points a game and TWENTY-FIVE rebounds a game in the same season!!! The year before this awesome display, he average just 38.4 points a game and 27.2 rebounds a game, while the year after this awesome display, he averaged 44 points a game and 24.3 rebounds a game!! In the players first five years in the NBA he averaged 41.7 points a game and averaged 25.3 rebounds a game!
Now that is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(if you have to wonder who the player that I'm talking about is, look up the great Wilt Chamberlain, now that is a player!)

Look at Wilt's competition during that time of basketball. PLEASE! If he played now his numbers wouldn't look near as nice. Kobe is proving himself in a time that b-ball is striving with a lot of talented players.
For me, it doesnt matter whether you can contribute points like those figures you mention on kobe bryant. Basketball is played with 5 teams. But Kobe play the Lakers on his own way. If he cant keep up coordinating with he's team, well he's not a good player at all and surely they will not make it to the finals.
I do agree with you sketteksalfa. Legends are those who bring the team to the championship. Before, it was Shaq who bring the LA to the finals and wasnt Kobe. Yeah he's a good player, but never a good team mate. He sucks.
Kobe is an awesome basketball player. Not a good teammate. So what, give him his dues as a skilled player and let it be.
WEll they lost to the suns but I hope that they gonna win next game..

I know this topic is not about Wilt - but I've looked at his competition AND how far he distanced himself from that same competition. In the league at that time were the following hall of famers (not a complete list): Walt Bellamy, Oscar Robertson, Bob Pettit, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Hal Greer, Bill Russell, Sam Jones, and Bob Cousy. Wilt NEARLY OUTSCORED the next player in points per game average by 20! Kobe beat the second place guy this season by 2.4 points per game. There are too many differences to compare the players side by side. (and I'll take Wilt over Kobe any day!)
My initial response was to the person posting that thought averaging 30 points a game was insane! There is no way averaging 30 points a game is insane!
Yea 30 pts isn't crap to avg in the NBA now. But you cant compare old school players to new players because the game has changed drastically. The average game of a player has went up a lot. But if I had to pick a fav player...ever...i'd have to go with MJ. Hands down best player and team-player.

I'll agree with you there!!!
hands down...KOBE is greatest player in this generation. He could bring the team back on his own. Shoot without hesitation and done a lot of heroic moments in this season.
KOBE is not a great team-mate but lately his been passing! Look at Odom and Brown's stats and they're having their career/season highs!
hope Lakers win Game 7. Kobe gotta prove he doesn't need Shaq for the playoffs.

kobe sucks
Tmac rocks

MJ could score 30 a night AND get his teammates involved.
Kobe is not Michael and people need to stop comparing the two.
Until Kobe can lead his team to a championship, there's no comparison at all.
Numbers are useless. It's all about the rings.

Kobe is a great player but no execeptional. What i mean by that is that he has the skills to become one of the greatest players to have ever played the game. But because of his attitude on and of the court, he will not be among that elite bunch of Micheal Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. He's too arrogante, selfish, stubborn and too uncoachable.
Congradulations on your season Kobe, but you will never be the player that Jordan was.

The game 6 between LAC and Phoenix said it. And the game 7 summarized it. Yes Kobe sucks. sorry for kobe fans.
It's easy to back the winning team...
Uhhmm... Well, Kobe is good! I have to agree with that though. He's poor recognition when it comes of teamwork and team leading (just like Iverson does) makes a major problem in their teams, respectively...
And please, MJ does he's best! nothing compares and you can't compare him to these guys because he's just another great player.

I don't like Kobe. He's good, but I feel he lacks of leadership skills and messes around with the ball to much. He is a fast player with a slow starting team. I feel he should even it out by slowing down a little bit.

And less dribbling into the paint, he should concentrate more on his outsideshooting, he doesn't stay young forever you know.

No do you ever see the guy play? HE is amazing. He is always helping his teammates out....
Kobe is my most favorite player since MJ. Yes he is selfish, but he is amazing and there is no one better in the league than him.
Let me tell u a true story:
A coach once told MJ: There is no "I" in TEAM, understand?
MJ snapped back: But there is one in WIN.
