Google 3D sketch for Google Earth

Looks like Google is finally adding on to thier satellite imagery software Google Earth. With Sketch you can build a 3D building then place it on the Google Earth Community and then share your building with the rest of the world.

I see this as having tremedous potential. especially if integration between the google earth app and a server side scripting language is possible?

I saw a load of previews for this, and used it at my friends house. It's easy to use too...
Shame my PC isn't capible of using the damn thing! (It's too slow) Ah well.

You mean this: http://sketchup.google.com/ I assume. It has a very intuitive interface, though I'm not convinced it's that powerful. Still good fun though, and you can't complain when it is free.

It looks fun, but why would I want to put it in Google Earth? So I can crowd the already overpopulated Earth? WTF? Why?

Just doesn't make sense to me. Looks like something I could use to model my house though (we're doing an addition and need to visualize the concept).
