i know someone who saw Scary Movie 4 as soon as it came out, and really liked it. she said it was the best of the Scary Movie series so far. i haven't seen it (too juvenile for me) so i can't comment from experience.

ok, the topic is confusing. Are you asking for your favorite movie from 2006? Or are you asking the 2006 version of the question "What's your all-time favorite movie?" as opposed to all the other times someone asked "What's your all-time favorite movie?"
I see you don't live in America, so it's possible that Butterfly Effect and Pirates of the Caribbean 1 (yes, be happy, there's a sequel coming out). might have just been released in your country.
As for me, my favorite movie of 2006 so far is "Thank You for Smoking", but I am looking forward to movies which don't require so much thinking, like X-men 3 or Superman Returns.
