Paste Function

I want to use the paste function by using Javascript
I already did copy and cut
but paste is a little different...
because copy and cut made you must select something...
but when you paste, you are not neccerryly select something... and that make Paste does no work...
So anyone got a way to make paste function(which I have to active in a button or an archer) work on any textarea that the typing thing(that "|" looking thing) is there
