adding my own domain, some doubts

i was wondering about buying my own domain, but im running some scripts there and i would not like to loose it, like, the adress of my website is http://mywebsite.frih.net, there i have a link like http://mywebsite.frih.net/index.php?buy_sth=id:8774 , for example if i put my domain would it work= http://owndowmain.com/index.php?buy_sth=id:8774 ?

i dont knot if i expressed myself good, but plz somebody help me

Those urls should normally still be working fine with a domain.

You will most likely have to change a few things, but normally not much.
