When I went to download a fedora core 5 iso, i found they had an option for i386, x86_64 and PPC

I want to know if x86_64 works in both 64 and 32 bit systems or only in 32 bit systems.

Also what does i386 work on? 32bit?

What is PPC?

PPC is Power PC = Apple/Macintosh
