Why cant there be a update where Spyware protection would be added to the default windows security center? Isnt spyware an important part of internet security? Currently it only has firewall, antivirus and auto updates.
Spyware in Windows Security Center
No thoughts at all?
Isn't it already there, and called "Malicious Software Removal"? Don't know how well/if it works, though.
Guess Microsoft wanted to own a few more billion dollars, so that's why they've got Microsoft Anti-Spyware BETA, which they'll be selling licenses to when it's released. Stuff the security centre, get something like SpyBot Search & Destroy.

Indeed, but none of them are perfect, so use a combination - for example, Spybot AND AdAware.
Microsoft have Windows Defender http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
I would take a screenshot but I have nearly all processes disabled. Makes my computer run like a rocket. But it is just Microsoft Anti-Spyware by a different name.
