Thanks for reopening this thread. It's valid again everyone purchase as many domains as you can! haha.
I bought one.
Actually they make this offer valid every while they can.
Like once in a week or something
If you are logged into yahoo with your account every day.
One day you will surely get an ad
So you will know
@ Mods: dont close this thread. It can be kept updated by someone whenever they see it
Thnx for that post now I have a new domain for myself @ just $2.99.
Of course that is only for the first year.
But next year when you are about to renew, if they give the same offer, you can use it,
If your site get's pretty popular and you HAVE to pay extra, you shouldn't really care. But if it totally sucks and you have to pay a lot then I would mind.

Certainly..
If I get a few bucks out of my site, I can easily pay for my domain name and also my other expenses.
Unsuccessful so far.
got 10 cents in adsense til date
been using it for 4 days now
The confirmation mail said that automatically renewal will be charged to my CC account @$2.99 I donno how far it is true and I also couldn't remove that auto renewal thing.
You cant REMOVE it.
But what you can do is cancel the domain service atleast 15 days before its expiry.
When you cancel it, the domain will still be working for you till the expiry date but will not auto renew.
According to yahoo, they will renew it 15 days prior to expiry
So cancel it before that. then you can register this domain name as a new one afer expiry
But remember one thing, sites like godaddy.com offer a service like the one below
In case the domain you wanna buy is already registered to some fellow, they put it on waiting list.
when that domain expires it is immediately purchased by them .
This means you stand a chance of losing your domain if somebody else wants it.
so if you are really interested in your domain name, then hold on to it
I'm still amazed at the price of these domains. All I do is sacrifice a meal at school, and get lunch from the cafeteria(nasty), then I buy a domain. It's worth it. If I don't ever every day of the year, I'll have hundreds of domains. =P

You eat a 3$ lunch everyday?
Whoah ! that is costly.
Where are you from?
Imperial Valley, California. I don't really like to spend my money on food, but I don't have a ride home so I get home pretty late and hungry. So I'd rather buy and not starve. Yeah, instead of buying domains I should buy a car.

you can do that..
But it is hard to believe that it cpsts 3 bucks for a meal..
We can eat around 5 meals here at that price
